2019 3-Star Quarterback Ty Evans will be taking an unofficial visit to NC State at some point this month. Evans is a former Arkansas Commit, but after the Razorbacks fired Brett Bielema, Evans decided to decommit on November 26th. NC State offered Evans on December 13th.

“I’m going to be taking a trip out to NC State because I’m going to be going to North Carolina and South Carolina too,” Evans said. “That will all be sometime in January but nothing else yet.” (247)

Evans is being pursued heavily by NC State Offensive Coordinator Eliah Drinkwitz.

“My coach had been talking to Coach [Eli] Drinkwitz for a while,” Evans said. “He had been in touch with the person who I train with too. He came to watch me work out and I was told to call the head coach. That’s who offered. He said he likes the way I spin the ball. He did the research on me and talked to my coach about how I am as a person and how I’m a good leader of the team. He talked about how I’m the kind of guy they like at NC State.” (247)

Evans won the Colorado Gatorade Player of the Year Award this year.

He is the #9 overall pro-style Quarterback in the 2019 class according to 247Sports.
