According to Jeff Gravely of WRAL, NC State running back Nyheim Hines still hasn’t made his decision whether or not he will be returning for his Senior season.

There have been no indications that Hines is leaving. In fact, after the Sun Bowl, he said he was about to jump right into track and was looking forward to racing for a championship.

Hines had a breakout season in 2017, rushing for 1,113 yards and 12 touchdowns, and those numbers could have been much higher had he not dealt with injuries. He also had 1,869 all-purpose yards, was 1 of 4 finalists for the Horung Award, and was a 2nd Team All-American selection by the AFCA, at the All-Purpose slot.

Personally, I think Hines would benefit from returning for his Senior season. His draft stock can definetly rise, and there is more to prove. There are already 8 underclassmen wrunning backs that have declared for the NFL Draft, and that number can still increase between now and the deadline, January 15th. Seven of the eight underclassmen running backs that have declared, ended the 2017 season with a higher grade by ProFootballFocus than Hines (77.5). (PFF)

Hines has shown that he has elite talent, but he needs to return to produce and elite Senior season. With all of these underclassmen leaving, Hines draft stock in 2019 has already improved.
