VIDEO VAULT: New NC State Commit PG Blake Harris does it all

PG Blake Harris announced yesterday that he’d be transferring to NC State.

Harris only spend a short time at Missouri and he was playing behind two veteran PGs in Terrance Phillips and Jordan Geist, so I don’t believe those fans got a real taste of what he was capable of.

Harris was a 4-star PG out of Chapel Hill and attended Raleigh’s Word of God Academy. He was a pretty prolific scorer there and showed all the tangibles to be a dominant PG at the ACC level. If it weren’t for Lavar Batts Jr committing to NC State, I think Harris may have landed with the Pack from the get-go. However, with the Markell Johnson situation still unknown, this provides some real insurance for NC State and allows Harris to come home.

In case you are wondering what he brings to the table, Harris is a quick, savvy PG with great athleticism and good vision. He has very good lateral body control which we believe is very important for a PG at this level, and he’s also fast end to end. He has great form on his jumper and nice touch around the basket. In fact, there really isn’t much Harris can’t do.
