Former South Alabama Commit, 3-Star 2018 Cornerback Roger McCreary (Mobile, Alabama) will be taking an Official Visit to NC State next weekend.

McCreary (5’11”/178) committed to South Alabama on March 25th of last year, but then decommited on December 13th shortly after receiving an offer from Auburn.

At this point Auburn is McCreary’s #1, and he took an Official Visit there this past weekend.

“Auburn stands at the top,” McCreary said Sunday. “They’re No. 1. It’s just my recruiting process came a little late now, so that’s why I got to feel it out… but Auburn, that’s No. 1.” (Link)

That didn’t stop him from planning an Official Visit to Raleigh after receiving an offer from NC State on the 18th.

He wants to visit Alabama and Tennessee as well. He just picked up an offer from Duke as too, who plans on taking an in-home visit with him next week.

As a Senior, McCreary totaled more than 100 tackles at Safety, but was a versatile piece of his team’s playoff berth, seeing time at running back, receiver and quarterback. McCreary ran for 802 yards and eight touchdowns, caught 62 passes for 72 yards and seven touchdowns, and he completed 50 passes for more than 600 yards and six touchdowns. He also served as Williamson’s punter last season. (Link)
