Dantonio Burnette now Asst. AD, but what about Football Strength & Conditioning?

NC State recently released the news that strength and conditioning coach, Dantonio Burnette, has been named as Assistant Athletic Director.

While everyone is happy for him, it left fans nervous about the football team’s Strength and Conditioning. See, Thunder Dan has received praise from all around. The players love him, the fans love him and the administration loves him for his work helping the entire NC Steate Football roster reach their peak, both mentally and physically.

Well, don’t worry Pack fans, because AD Dr. Debbie Yow assured everyone on Twitter, that while it might be a position and title change, he will still be the S&C coach for the Football team. In fact, they are taking some other responsibilities away from him so he can focus on training the football team.

Still in charge of all football-related strength and conditioning, reporting to senior associate AD Raymond Harrison. All Olympic sports under someone else so Dantonio can remain hands on with football. What he loves…

So looks like a win-win-win for Dantonio, the team, and the Pack fans.
