NC State’s Al Freeman Earns NCAA Player of the Week Honors

After His historic performance against UNC, NC State’s Al Freeman was named the the NCAA Player of the Week.

Here are their reasons why:

• 29 points, 5 rebounds in 95-91 upset of #10 North Carolina
• 13 points, 5 rebounds in 72-68 victory over Pitt. Hit two free throws with 8 seconds left to seal the win.
• Averaging 14.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.2 steals
• 9 games scoring 15+ Points despite coming off the bench

(Note: I think I would have mentioned he was 7-7 from three. Also, Freeman has come off the bench the last three games, but started the 19 games prior.)
