JUCO DT Val Martin Signs His Letter of Intent to NC State

Last week NC State picked up a sneaky verbal commitment from Junior College Defensive Tackle Val Martin (6’2”/305), and today he made it official by signing his letter of intent to play for the Wolfpack.

Martin originally is from Marietta, Georgia, but just finished his Redshirt Freshman season at Iowa Western Community College.

Martin accumulated 49 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, and 3 sacks in his redshirt Freshman season at Iowa Western.

He also took Official Visits to Washington St and Florida Atlantic, and also held an offer from West Virginia.

Martin will have three years of eligibility remaining when he arrives at NC State.
