Abu talks rivalry: Bulleted (WRAL)

• Game is important to the fans. Want to get win no matter what.
• Personally, don’t like anything blue.Don’t know if you want to call it a rivalry, but schools are real close, people talk. It’s a lot of fun.
• People not referring to this game as a rivalry would only be insulting if you valued their opinion or put them on your level. Got to look past it and let your game speak.
• Playing at UNC is very tough, but stayed with it as a team. Never gave up. Saw Duke had a lead and it evaporated. Got to stick to what you do, stick to what you know and win every possession.
• Think we can get it done. Just need to stick to the game plan that Coach Keatts and staff put together.
• Motivation is to keep playing until March and advance. Every game is important. At the point in the season where team wants to get stronger, get better. Rise to the top.
• Not worried about RPI or rankings. Best bet to make the tournament is to win each and every game.
• Focus is to keep working hard and put in extra work. It’s starting to show a little bit. Just keep trying to stack up good efforts.

When they get together and they have, not a dislike, but a competitiveness about themselves, wanting to win more bragging rights, it would be considered a rivalry.”
