NC State is sending 7 players to the 2018 NFL Combine, which is tied for the 8th most in college football (3rd most in ACC).

The official combine page is up and running on NFL.com, and there are profiles for each of the players attending. Here is a brief rundown of what they said about the Wolfpackers:

Defensive End Bradley Chubb has a grade of 7.25. They project him as a 1st round pick, compare him to Chris Long, and think he could be an early starter, and a multi-year starter.

Running Back Nyheim Hines has a grade of 5.59. They project him to be taken in the third or fourth round, and compare him to Tyler Ervin. They don’t see him being a full-time back at the next level, but could be a change of pace back. His value will be more utilized at receiver.

Tight End Jaylen Samuels has a grade of 5.48. They project him to be a 4th or 5th round pick. They think JaySam’s best fit may be with a zone-scheme team as a RB/FB with the ability to play slot receiver and become a core special teamer.

Defensive Tackle BJ Hill has a grade of 5.29. They project him to be taken in the 7th round, or scooped up as a free agent. “While Hill’s production has been solid, he will have to develop more strength at the point of attack or become a more explosive upfield player to set himself apart and become a rotational defensive tackle.”

Defensive Tackle Justin Jones has a grade of 5.22. They project him as a 7th round pick, or a free agent. “He’s tough enough at the point of attack to give him a shot as a rotational defensive lineman if he’s able to add a little more size, but his shot may come late or undrafted as he lacks the athletic traits and overall production teams will be looking for.”

Defensive End Kentavius Street has a grade of 4.98. They project him to be a 7th rounder or a free agent pick up. They compare him to Ronald Blair. “Street doesn’t appear to be an NFL pass rusher but his power is intriguing. A team might be interested in asking him to add more weight in an attempt to bump him inside.”

Offensive Tackle Will Richardson doesn’t have a grade on the website, but is invited to the Combine.
