Top tweets heading into the NC State vs Syracuse game
NC State heads up north to take on Syracuse tonight at 9 pm. Here are some of the top tweets heading into that matchup…
Should NC State win tonight, it would be their 5th Quadrant 1 win of the year. Not many teams have that many (outside the top 10 teams). Monster game tonight at Syracuse for tourney hopes

Those 5 quadrant 1 wins would be hard to pass on if you were the tournament committee. The thing is, NC State is running out of big opportunities. They have this game vs. Syracuse and then a home game against Louisville to close out the season. Aside from those games, its Wake, BC, GT and FSU. So things are still very wide open, but the Pack could provide a little clarity with a win tonight.
So yeah, this is a big game even though neither team has a ranking in front of their name. Even CBS writer Jon Rothstein can see that…
WEDNESDAY’S UNDER-THE-RADAR GAMES: Mississippi State at Vanderbilt, Kansas State at Oklahoma State, NC State at Syracuse, St. John’s at DePaul, Nevada at Boise State.

If you want a quality breakdown of how these teams will stack up when March rolls around, the N&O has a nice one by Steve Wiseman. Yep, that Steve Wiseman. We’ve been vocal about the N&O putting him on NC State’s beat, and for things he’s said about Pack fans in past tweets, but we’ll give credit where it’s due. There are some good points in here.

NC State getting the win means beating the Syracuse zone, and doing that is not easy. Jame Henderson compiles some of NC State’s past efforts against against the zone with some of Keatts recent quotes about it in this piece.

And then the biggest question of all. What channel is it on? Dont worry, Jeff Gravley is on the case…
Because of scheduling conflicts on #WRAL and Fox 50, the @PackMensBball at Syracuse game will be on WRDC at 9pm.
