David Amerson Signed By Chiefs

Former NC State All-American Cornerback David Amerson has been signed by the Kanas City Chiefs. Almost two weeks ago, Amerson was released by the Raiders. The Silver-and-Black signed him to a 4-year $38 million contract prior to the 2016 season. Unfortunately, Amerson missed the final 9 games of 2017 with a foot injury.

The Chiefs are looking to add depth to their already strong secondary, and did that by signing Amerson to a 1-year contract worth up to $6 million. The base salary is $2.25 million.

This is now Amerson’s 3rd team entering his 6th season (He was drafted with the 51st overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.) He has started in 56 of his 68 career games. In his career he has 8 interceptions (2 for touchdowns), 218 tackles and and 64 pass deflections.
