N&O: Malik Abu and Sam Hunt talk after win over Boston College

The News & Observer recapped the NC State vs. Boston College game here. They also posted two good interviews with Sam Hunt and Malik Abu. Take a look at them below. We gave a bullteted summary for those at work who can’t listen to the audio.

• Always believed we’d be one of the better teams in the league.
• When we ropped 2 games early, made sure we didn’t drop 3.
• Tried not to let the beginning of the season dictate the end. Kept pushing and trying to persevere and outcome is now in our favor.
• When team started off 0-8, knew the shots would start falling. Missing good shots and kept the game close. Scored 2 buckets and where right back in the game. Defense saved us.

Sam Hunt

• Teammates found me when open and was able to knock down 3s.
• Glad was able to give spark to help pick up the lead.
• Never worried when shooting goes cold because we defend. We press, we play fast, At any point in time we can get it going and get back in game.
• Frustrating at first not seeing the ball go in the basket. Once we started to get stops and score we were fine.
• Living the dream. Couldn’t have imagined or asked for this. Never knew what it would be like, just knew I’d be playing in ACC. For team to be doing what we’re doing it’s a dream.
• Have to finish strong. 3 games left. Got to win out and go into ACC Tournament hot.
