#23 NC State Defeats #18 Duke to Advance to the Semis

The #23 NC State Women’s Basketball team took care of business today, defeating the #18 Duke Blue Devils 51-45 in the ACC Tournament Quarterfinals.

Chelsea Nelson scored 15 points and grabbed an ACC Tournament record 22 rebounds. The twenty-two boards rank second in NC State history.

The Wolfpack only shot 29% from the field, but managed to hold the Blue Devils to 27.5%

Kiara Leslie was also in double figures, scoring 11 points.

The Wolfpack ladies out-rebounded the Blue Devils by 10, and forced Duke to commit 19 turnovers.

Tomorrow #23 NC State will face #4 Louisville in the Semifinals tomorrow at noon. The Cardinals beat the Wolfpack on New Years Eve 55-47. #1 seed Louisville beat #9 seed Virginia Tech 73-70 earlier tonight.
