UNC’s National Championship Sign Has Been Found

Last week UNC’s National Championship sign originally placed 3 miles from PNC Arena and Carter-Finley Stadium went missing.

The sign’s whereabouts are no longer in question. According to the News & Observer, the sign

was found Thursday in the weeds beside the North Harrison Avenue ramp onto eastbound I-40, less than 100 yards from where the N.C. Department of Transportation had erected it. (N&O)

According to the report, the sign suffered “some spray paint damage.”

I wish the DOT would release a picture of the sign in its present condition.
