Basically, what you’re looking at is a freak of nature. Chubb is a big, big man who is hitting top speed just as fast some some skill position players.
What’s more impressive about Bradley Chubb’s 40-time (remember, he’s 269 pounds) is that he’s at his top speed in two steps.

Chubb ranked 3rd among Defensive Linemen in the 40-yard dash.
2nd in the Vertical Jump, with 36 inches.
Third in the broad jump, with 10’1”.
And 4th in the 20-yard shuttle.
He also had 24 reps on the bench press.
