NC State’s Markell Johnson Ranks 3rd in the Nation in Assists

Yesterday, we pointed out that NC State Point Guard Markell Johnson finished the regular season as the ACC leader in assists.

Today, we wanted to carry the conversation a little further.

Johnson finished the regular season ranked 3rd in the NATION in assists-per-game.

To show just how dominant Johnson was this season in comparison to other ACC point guards, here is a look at his assist numbers strictly in conference play.

That 114 total is 17 higher than the next guy, and Markell did it in only 14 games (due to suspension).
