#10 NC State beats #2 Clemson AGAIN. Going for series sweep today.
NC State has opened ACC play with a bang. First, they won 2 of 3 over Boston College, now they’re one win away from a 3 game sweep of #2 Clemson.

Yesterday they took down the Tigers in game 2 of the series, 6-1, behind a strong performance by senior Brian Brown.
Brown mowed down 8 in 6 innings of work. He gave up 5 hits and walked 4, but he worked his way out of jams and moved to 4-0 on the season. In fact, Brown has now logged 31 innings on the season, struck out 34, and only allowed 1 earned run so far this year.
Offensively, the Pack got a great game from leadoff man Josh McLain who went 2-4 with 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored. They were powered by Evan Edwards, who went 1-3 with his 6th homer of the season, a 2-run job in the 6th.
Edwards has actually had a really good season thus far. He’s batting 350, is second on the team with 6 homers, second on the team with 15 RBIs, second on the team with 14 walks and even has 2 steals.
The win secured the series win over #2 Clemson and should really start to turn a lot of national attention to NC State.
State will take on Clemson again today in the series finale at 1pm (@ Clemson).
