Wolfpack assistant AW Hamilton about to be named head coach at Eastern Kentucky?

After Kevin Keatts quick turnaround of NC State, it makes sense that his assistants would start to pop up in rumors for head coaching jobs

Yesterday, we got our first rumor. Apparently, Eastern Kentucky is looking at Wolfpack assistant AW Hamilton.

NC State's A.W. Hamilton & Purdue's Greg Gary have emerged as the lead candidates for the head coaching vacancy at Eastern Kentucky, per multiple sources.

Now, there is talk that this is a done deal, however, none of that talk is confirmed (at all) at this point. But, the news of interest in Hamilton seems to be very much real, according to multiple sources.

Hamilton is just one year removed from the high school ranks. He played for Keatts at Hargrave and later became an assistant before taking over the head coaching job when Keatts left for Louisville.
