The final poll is out, and for the 2nd consecutive season, NC State Women’s Basketball (26-9) team finished the season in the Top-25, landing at 16th overall.

As you can see above, NC State’s 16th place finish was the 5th best finish by an ACC school.

The Wolfpack was picked to finish 10th in the ACC, and finished tied for 4th.

They hosted NCAA games in Raleigh for the first time since 2007, and advanced to the Sweet 16 for the first time in 11 years.

NC State will lose their two starting post players to graduation next season (Akela Maize – 10.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game and Chelsea Nelson – 12.9 points and 9.4 rebounds per game), but does return starters at the 1, 2 and 3 positions: Kaila Ealey (8.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game), Aislinn Konig (10.3 points and 3.1 assists per game), and Kiara Leslie (12.7 points and 5.9 rebounds per game).
