Lorenzo Brown Wins 2017-18 G-League MVP Award
Former NC State point guard Lorenzo Brown is your 2017-18 G-League Most Valuable Player!
The 2017-18 #NBAGLeague MVP… @Zo_Brown!

Brown led the 905 Raptors on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball this season. On offense, he averaged 18.9 points (led the team), 8.9 assists (led the team) and 5.2 rebounds per game. On defense, he led the team with 1.8 steals per game.
Zo was a workhouse for the Raptors this season, with head coach Jerry Stackhouse leaning on him more than any other player, averaging a team high 33.2 minutes per game.
The Raptors are heading to the G-League Finals, and they are there in a big way because of Lorenzo Brown. When they have needed him the most, he has shown up in the playoffs.
Round 1: 24 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds
Round 2: 18 points, 7 assists, 7 rebounds
Round 3: 28 points, 8 assists, 4 rebounds
This is Lorenzo’s 5th league in the G-League, and much of his time has been spent signed to two-way contracts, spending time in the big league in 4 seasons. He has played 77 games in the NBA over 4 years with the 76ers, Suns, Timberwolves and the Raptors.
In 5 seasons in the G-League, Brown has averaged 18.5 points, 6.3 assists and 5.4 rebounds over 107 games.
After earning the MVP award this season, hopefully Zo can find himself next season in the NBA with a one-way contract, instead of a two-way contract.
