Kevin Keatts Tears His Patellar Tendon Playing Pickup

NC State head coach Kevin Keatts is a baller, but even the best head to the disabled list from time to time.

On Wednesday, Keatts tore his patellar tendon playing pickup basketball, and had successful surgery yesterday.

While I can’t confirm the accuracy of the report below, rumor has it that Keatts went 3-0 in pickup on Wednesday at the Dail Center before going down for the count.

Sure, he will be in a brace for 3-6 weeks, but I doubt it will keep him off the recruiting trail for long, because Kevin Keatts is a winner.

It will be awhile before he takes his players to school on the hardwood, but he will just have to resort to beating them all in ping-pong for the time being.
