NC State Sophomore Shortstop Will Wilson earned the ACC Player of the Week for his performance against UNCW and Notre Dame. This is his second weekly ACC honor of the season.

Wilson helped lead NC State to a 3-1 record last week, hitting .316 with eight RBI, six runs and three homers. Defensively, he had nine assists and seven putouts without an error. The sophomore shortstop from Kings Mountain, North Carolina had his second career multi-homer game in the series finale against Notre Dame to clinch the series, the ninth straight series win in conference play for the Wolfpack. He also homered in Wednesday’s game at UNCW, as his three-run blast extended the Wolfpack’s lead from 3-1 to 6-1. Wilson now has 10 home runs for the season, which is tied for third in the ACC, and six of them have come against conference opponents, tying for the most by an individual in conference play. (ACC)

NC State has racked up 4 ACC Player of the Week honors this season, with Brett Kinneman picking up the other two.
