Former NC State cornerback Jonathan Alston has signed a free agent deal with the Miami Dolphins after going undrafted last month.

Alston spent his first three seasons in Raleigh as a Wide Receiver, but switched over to cornerback during his redshirt season that fell between his Junior and Senior season.

Heading into last season, NC State head coach Dave Doeren said that he thought NFL scouts would like what they saw in Alston. He led the Wolfpack in pass breakups last season (8), and started in all 13 games. He also had 54 tackles, 5 tackles for loss and 2 interceptions.
