Former NC State NCAA wrestling champion Nick Gwiazdowski is No. 1 in the May UWW (United World Wrestling) Freestyle Rankings.

Gwiazdowski won the gold at the Pan American Games last week and was a bronze medalist at the Ivan Yarygin Grand Prix in Russia in January. He is the top ranking American in the standings.
