3-Star LB Drake Thomas Commits to NC State

3-star linebacker Drake Thomas of Heritage High School (Wake Forest, NC) just chose to commit to NC State over Clemson, Virginia Tech, Alabama and Tennessee.

Rivals ranks Thomas as the #18 player in the state of North Carolina, and ESPN ranks him as the #14 inside linebacker overall in the 2019 recruiting class.

Thomas joins former teammate of incoming freshman Ricky Person (RB).

This past season he had 112 tackles and 3 interceptions. Thomas also shared the backfield with Person, averaging 9.6 yards per carry.

Personally, I think Thomas’ 3-star rating is criminal. He deserves every bit of 4 stars beside his name. The Wolfpack likely just snagged the best linebacker prospect in the state of NOrth Carolina.
