NC State is #11 in Updated Spring Director’s Cup Standings

The Director’s Cup released a Spring Update this week, and NC State sits in 11th place.

NC State finished the Winter season in 5th place.

The Wolfpack has led the ACC in the Director’s Cup standings all season, but have been surpassed by Duke (#9) and Florida State (#10) now.

FSU and Duke both did better than the Wolfpack in Women’s Golf and Women’s Tennis. Duke finished 2nd in the nation in lacrosse, and Florida St won the Softball national championship, and finished 2nd in Women’s Beach Volleyball.

With that being said, the Wolfpack has had a much improved Spring. Last season NC State only finished with 122 points in the Spring, and they already have 181 currently without the conclusion of baseball and track and field.

Keep in mind the highest NC State has finished in the Director’s Cup (started in 1993) is 27th (2014-15). Wolfpack Athletics have taken a huge step forward in 2017-18.
