Former Wolfpack pitcher, Carlos Rodon, looked good in his second game back from a shoulder injury, but failed to come away with the win over the Indians.

The White Sox let Rodon go 100 pitches, but it only got him through 5 innings. He left with a 2-2 tie, but the Sox bullpen imploded, leading to a 5-2 loss. He wasn’t happy with his performance…

“Need to be more consistent,” Rodon said. “Falling behind, putting myself in bad situations. Got to go deeper in the game for the team. Not my best.” (Yahoo!)

After 2 starts, Rodon sits 0-1 with a 3.60 ERA over 10 innings pitched. He has 11 K’s and has walked 5. But keep in mind, these are his first big leauge innings of 2018, and his team knows it.

“But for all intents and purposes, it’s probably his sixth game or seventh game. Not to make any excuses for him, but it’s kind of like a little bit of spring training. He’s trying to get himself into some rhythm.” said head coach Rick Renteria (Yahoo1)

His next outing will also be against the Indians in Cleveland, next Tuesday.
