4-Star CB Shyheim Battle Has NC State & Clemson Tied at #1

4-star 2019 cornerback Shyheim Battle (6’2”/173) spoke with TigerNet.com, and he said that at this point in his recruitment, NC State and Clemson are tied at the #1 spot.

“Right now, I am keeping everything where it is as far as my favorites,” Battle told TigerNet. “NC State and Clemson are tied at one. I have Tennessee third right now, North Carolina at four and Virginia Tech at five.”

Rivals ranks Battle (Rocky Mount High/Rocky Mount, NC) as the #26 cornerback in the class of 2019, and the #9 player in the state of North Carolina.

Battle spent two days back-to-back at NC State in June during camp. He has set an announcement date for December 15th, but could make his decision before then. If Battle waits until December 15th, there may no longer be a scholarship available for another cornerback at NC State in the 2019 class.
