4-Star CB Shyheim Battle Commits to NC State

4-Star 2019 cornerback Shyheim Battle was planning on announcing his decision on December 15th, but he couldn’t wait any longer, and committed to NC State today.

Rivals ranks Battle as the #9 player in the state of North Carolina, and the #220 overall player in the 2019 class.

NC State was expected to take only one more cornerback in 2019, and if Battle would have waited to December as planned, the spot might not have been available. Around 2 weeks ago, Battle said that the Wolfpack was dead even with Clemson. The fact that NC State won this recruiting battle against national powerhouse and Atlantic divisional foe Clemson, is revealing to say the least.

Battle is NC State’s 20th commitment in the 2019 recruiting class.
