Senior linebacker Germaine Pratt talked to NC State’s media department about the LBs and what they are working on coming into the season.

Pratt was NC State’s 4th leading tackler last season, even though he did not start a single game. He notched the 2nd highest PFF (Pro Football Focus) grade on NC State’s defense, behind only eventual first-round pick, Bradley Chubb.

Above is his full interview and below are the bulleted highlights.

  • Great practice, ready to get back to work
  • Focusing on ‘detail in technique’ in man-to-man coverage
  • Huge responsibility to be a leader, but everyone keeps everyone accountable. Pushing each other to get better
  • Telling younger guys to know situation football. Know tendencies of opposition.
  • No one person standing out. Everyone is getting better.
  • He and Brock (Miller) is staying focused and working off each other. Pushing each other.
  • Looking forward to put on pads. Ready to hit.
  • Once pads go on it’s a contact sport. It’s the real deal.
