Quarterback Ryan Finley spoke yesterday at NC State’s Media Day. Check out the VIDEO below, and a BULLETED breakdown underneath.

  • Junior Kelvin Harmon, Senior Steph Louis, and Redshirt Junior Jakobi Meyers are straight dogs. They can run. They’re huge. Great redzone targets.
  • Kelvin and Steph are super hard workers. Passion for the game. They have goals, and intend on reaching them. They’re big. Great route runners. Kelvin has a knack for the ball. Steph is very powerful in his route running, gets open a lot, and comes down with the football.
  • Jakobi is a little bit more swift and fluid. Really good in man-to-man coverage. Reliable hands.
  • I want people to say I was a good player and was good for the community. Did things the right way. Have a successful career in the NFL. That I cared about my teammates and was willing to do anything for the team.
  • Have to shut out the talk of the NFL Draft, and enjoy these times with your teammates. Stay in the moment.
  • Been to two different universities, and I’ve never met anyone like Kelvin. He just spends more time at his craft. He realizes the work he does off of the field translate. He’s always at this facility. He has his priorities in line, and I think that’s why he’s been successful.
  • Graduate running back Brady Bodine had a really good scrimmage yesterday. Will be exciting to see if he gets an opportunity. He’s a friend of mine. I trust him. He’s a veteran leader. Despite the fact that he hasn’t played much, he’s still viewed as a leader in that room along with Senior Reggie Gallaspy. He’s very confident and smart. He knows the plays.
