Carlos Rodon Stays Hot Against Tigers
Former NC State All-American pitcher Carlos Rodon continued his hot streak yesterday, picking up the win in a 6-5 victory over the Detroit Tigers. He tied a career high of 8 innings pitched (6th time, and 2nd in a row), gave up 3 earned runs, struck out 6 and only walked 1.
“We knew that when he went out into the eighth that we had somebody ready just in case it started getting out of hand,” White Sox manager Rick Renteria said. “You could see that he was working to get through that inning. And he did a nice job.” (MLB)
