#16 NC State Women’s Soccer Draws 1-1 With ECU

The #16 NC State Women’s Soccer team took on ECU at home last night, and the result was a 1-1 draw, with neither team able to break the tie through two overtime periods.

Junior Kia Rankin scored the lone Wolfpack goal on an assist from Tziarra King. It was Rankin’s first goal of the season, in her first game of the season. Rankin missed the first two games of the season due to injury.

NC State dominated the game offensively, but simply couldn’t put it in the net. They had 29 shots compared to the Pirates 12.

The Wolfpack is now 2-0-1 heading into a HUGE matchup against #10 South Carolina this Sunday at home at 1pm.
