Carlos Rodon Makes History With 9th Consecutive Quality Start
Former NC State All-American pitcher Carlos Rodon is EN FUEGO!
Last night he pitched his 9th consecutive quality start, which is the longest streak by a Chicago White Sox pitcher since 1908.
Carlos Rodon has 9 straight quality starts, the most by a White Sox pitcher since 1908.
During that span, he has worse K and BB% than his career rate. He has a .151 BABIP.
Seems sustainable!

Rodon won his 3rd straight start last night (6-3 on the year), leading the White Sox to a 6-2 victory over the Yankees. He pitched 7 innings of 2-hit ball, and only gave up 2 earned runs.

Carlos isn’t getting the attention that he deserves right now. Partially, that’s because he hasn’t pitched enough innings to show up as one of the stat leaders, but if he had the innings to qualify, here’s where he would stand.
- His 2.70 ERA would rank 9th in the Majors, and 5th in the AL.
- He is holding his opponents to a batting average of .178. This would rank 2nd in the Majors and the American League.
- His WHIP of 1.01 would rank 8th in the Majors, and 5th in the AL.
- His H/9 of 5.59 would rank 1st in all of baseball.
Rodon hasn’t lost since June 30th.
There is theory that Rodon’s hot streak tracks back to when he stopped wearing an undershirt.
