NC State’s depth chart for this weekends home matchup against Georgia State has been released.

NOTES

(Doeren wasn’t able to give full clarity on the health of some of the injured players from Saturday until tomorrow, because today is a healing day. He did say most of the injuries were heat related. Players were cramping, and needed IV’s.)

  • Redshirt Senior Left Guard Terronne Prescod was injured in the 3rd quarter against James Madison, and didn’t return, though he did come out of the tunnel to give the crowd a thumbs up. He is still listed as the starter (guessing it was heat related).
  • Redshirt Graduate Senior Wide Receiver Stephen Louis was dealing with a tight hamstring heading into James Madison, and was unable to dress. Doeren said in his presser today that Louis tweaked his hamstring in Fall Camp, and then it got better. It tightened up on Wednesday, and then they didn’t do anything with him until Saturday. They warmed him up on Saturday, and it was still tight. Doeren thinks he will be fine for the Georgia State game.
  • Redshirt Junior Wide Receiver Jakobi Meyers is still listed as the starter at slot receiver. Doeren said in his press conference that he was doing well, and that he just needed to get his body back, because he was pretty beat up on Saturday. Meyers says he’s good to go for this weekend.
  • Freshman Running Back Trent Pennix is listed as the 3rd string back this week, taking the spot of Freshman Tyler Baker-Williams. Unfortunately, Baker-Williams fumbled the ball on his first collegiate snap. Pennix carried the ball twice for one yard against JMU.
  • Redshirt Sophomore Tight Ends Dylan Autenrieth and Dylan Parham were both injured and unable to play against James Madison, and Doeren isn’t sure if they will be ready for this weekend. Redshirt Freshman Damien Darden and Redshirt Sophomore Thomas Ruocchio were the two Tight ends that played against JMU, and it was their first collegiate game, and have a lot to improve on. Autenrieth and Parham are still listed as the backups to Darden, but I’m assuming that is only because of their injuries at this point. If they are good to go on Saturday, I expect them to play ahead of Darden.
