ESPN Ranks NC State Football #11 in Week 1 ACC Power Rankings

ESPN released their Week 2 ACC Power Rankings, and NC State’s performance on Saturday against James Madison definitely changed their impression of this Wolfpack football team. They had NC State ranked 6th in the Preseason ACC Power Rankings.

Here’s what they had to say about the Pack.

James Madison pushed the Wolfpack throughout NC State’s 24-13 victory. They need to find more consistency in their run game. (ESPN)

I’m not saying that NC State’s performance on Saturday deserves an A+ grade, but dropping them 5 spots in the conference rankings is absurd. Penn St. beat Appalachian State in double overtime, but is ranked 3rd in the Big Ten Power Rankings this week. This ranking is disrespectful to James Madison’s football program, and a disrespect to NC State’s.
