ESPN ranks NC State #6, UNC dead-last in this week’s Power Rankings

ESPN has been pretty erratic when it comes to their ACC power rankings.

Just two weeks ago, coming off a win over JMU, NC State fell from 6th to 11th. Then, after beating Georgia State, somehow they climbed 5 spots to #6.

This week NC State once again checks in at #6. At least this makes a little sense since the Pack’s game against West Virginia was canceled.

Some notables:

– NC State opens ACC play against UVA, which should be winnable, but then faces their toughest stretch of the season. Boston College is #3 in the power ranking, followed by Clemson (who is obviously #1).

– Meanwhile, the dumpster fire down in Chapel Hill rages on. UNC checks in at #14.
