NC State’s Leon Krapf Named ACC Defensive Player of the Week

NC State Sophomore Goal Keeper Leon Krapf has been named the ACC Defensive Player of the Week for his shutout performance against #14 Virginia Tech.

Krapf made three saves while facing eight shots in the Wolfpack’s 1-0 win over No. 14/25 Virginia Tech on Friday. Krapf was tested twice in the first half, stopping shots by Jakob Bluemler in the 10th and 40th minutes. He made his third save of the game in the 84th minute. The shutout was his fourth of the season. (ACC)

This marks the 2nd time Krapf has earned the ACC Defensive Player of the Week honor.

The shutout against VT was his 4th shutout of the season (2nd straight), and the 11th of his career (25 matches).
