NC State in the NFL 2018 Week 3 Recap

Week 3 of the 2018 NFL season is in the bag, and 12 former NC State players were active. Here’s a breakdown of their performances.

Quarterback Russell Wilson (Starter) bounced back with his best game of the young season, completing 16 of 26 passes for 192 yards and 2 touchdowns (0 interceptions) in the Seahawks 24-13 victory over Dallas. His QB Rating was 109.8.

Quarterback Philip Rivers (Starter) was 18 of 30 for 226 yards and 2 touchdowns (0 interceptions) in the Chargers 23-35 loss to the Rams. His QB Rating was 105.7, and it has been over 100+ in all three games so far.

Rookie Linebacker Bradley Chubb (Starter) had 2 tackles, and picked up his 1st career sack in the Broncos 14-27 loss to the Ravens.

Rookie Defensive End BJ Hill also picked up his first career sack in the Giants 27-22 victory over the Texans.

Rookie Running Back Nyheim Hines touched the 10 times in the Colts 16-20 loss to the Eagles. He rushed the ball 5 times for 18 yards, and had 5 receptions for 25 yards.

Place Kicker Stephen Hauschka (Starter) connected on both of his Field Goal attempts (30 yards and 50 yards), and both of his PAT attempts.

Offensive Guard Joe Thuney’s (Starter) start streak continues (41 games), starting for the Patriots in their 10-26 loss to the Lions.

Offensive Guard JR Sweezy (Starter) started for the Seahawks in their 24-13 victory over the Cowboys, and has started all 3 games thus far in 2018.

Center Ted Larsen (Starter) started for the 2nd straight week for the Dolphins, helping them defeat the Raiders 28-20.

Defensive Tackle Justin Jones had 1 tackle in the Chargers 23-35 loss to the Rams.

Running Back Jaylen Samuels saw his first NFL snaps on Monday Night Football, in the Steelers 30-27 victory over the Bucs, but didn’t record any stats.

Quarterback Jacoby Brissett got in the game, and his one pass attempt was incomplete in the Colts 16-20 loss to the Eagles.
