In case you missed it, the 12th ranked NC State Men’s Soccer team earned a 2-2 draw at home on Friday night against #6 Louisville.

The Cardinals out shot the Wolfpack (11/4), had more shots on goal (6/4), and more corner kicks (4/1). Despite those facts, the Wolfpack wouldn’t go down without a fight.

Louisville was the first to put the ball in the net in the 27th minute of play.

With less than 15 minutes left in regulation, Freshman Aidan Foster came up clutch, scoring his 2nd goal of the season (Assist: David Loera) in the 76th minute of play to tie the game.

Then, 10 minutes later Junior Gabriel Machado scored his 4th goal of the season to give the Wolfpack the lead (Assist: Tanner Roberts & Brad Sweeney).

With less than a minute left in regulation, Louisville scored on a free kick from 22-yards out to tie the match and send it to overtime.

NC State still hasn’t lost at home in 2018 (5-0-1).

The Wolfpack’s next match will be at home against James Madison on Tuesday night at 7pm.
