Tight End Damien Darden Leaves NC State

Redshirt Freshman Tight End Damien Darden is no longer on NC State’s roster, and has left the team.

Darden was a 3-Star recruit in the Wolfpack’s 2017 recruiting class out of Aycock High School (Pikeville, North Carolina).

He started the first two games of the season against James Madison and Georgia State while Redshirt Sophomore Cary Angeline was ineligible, and Redshirt Sophomore Dylan Autenreith was injured.

With the arrival of Angeline and the return of Autenreith, Darden didn’t play a single snap against Marshall and Virginia.

Darden was a player that the NC State coaches liked a lot, and spoke highly of. His plans after leaving NC State are unknown at this point.

Redshirt Sophomore Dylan Parham is also behind Angeline and Autenreith, but has been injured for much of 2018.
