NC State 2019 Football Commits Week 7 Report

This past weekend marked the 7th week of high school football. Before Week 8 arrives, here’s a breakdown of how NC State’s 2019 commits did last week.

4-Star Defensive End Savion Jackson had 8 tackles and 1 sack in Clayton’s 27-7 victory over Fike. The Comets (5-1) have won 5 straight games after losing the season opener. Jackson has 21 tackles and 4 sacks through 6 games.

4-Star Defensive Tackle CJ Clark had 6 tackles in North Stanly’s (4-2) 66-0 rout of Chatham Central. The Comets are now 4-2, and have won two straight. Clark has 52 tackles and 2 sacks through 6 games.

4-Star Defensive Tackle Joshua Harris and the Person Rockets (2-4) lost for the second straight week, losing to Eastern Alamance 14-37.

4-Star Safety Khalid Martin had 7 tackles in East Forsyth’s 42-14 thrashing of Page. He also had a 27 yard touchdown reception. The Eagles have a perfect 6-0 record, and Martin has 41 tackles.

3-Star Running Back Jamious Griffin had 11 carries for 141 yards in the first half of Rome’s (6-0) 48-7 victory over Woodland.

3-Star Linebacker Jaylon Scott had 5 tackles, 2 tackles for loss and a blocked punt in Shelby’s (3-3) 35-14 victory over Mount Pleasant. Through 6 games, Scott has 33 tackles and 6 tackles for loss.

3-Star Offensive Guard Ikem Ekwonu and Providence Day defeated Charlotte Latin 28-17, winning their past three games.

3-Star Offensive Tackle Triston Miller and Charlotte Country Day defeated Rabun Gap-Nacoochee 44-6, and they have won their last three games now.

3-Star Center Dylan McMahon and Savannah Christian defeated Portal 45-0, to improve to 4-1. McMahon had 8 tackles and 1 tackle for loss in the contest. They have won 4 straight games.

3-Star Cornerback Jalen Frazier had 6 tackles in Hough’s 12-7 victory over Mooresville to remain undefeated (6-0). Through 6 games, Frazier has 26 tackles.

3-Star Defensive End Terrell Dawkins and Cox Mill (4-2) took down West Rowan 26-7.

3-Star Wide Receiver Keyon Lesane had 8 catches for 69 yards and the game winning touchdown in Butler’s (4-2) 34-28 victory over Porter Ridge.

3-Star Safety Jakeen Harris and Benedictine pummeled Johnson 48-6 to improve to 4-1.
