NC State Head Coach Dave Doeren spoke with the media one last time after practice today before the Wolfpack’s matchup against Boston College this Saturday. The video is ABOVE, and a bulleted breakdown is BELOW.

  • BC backup RB Ben Glines played really well against Temple. 120 yards in 1.5 quarters. Different style than Dillon. Best special teams player. Try hard guy. Competitive. Tough. Good speed. Not 245 like Dillon. 215. Quick side to side.
  • If Dillon can’t play, they will rotate other guys besides Glines.
  • Have to prepare for Dillon and Glines.
  • Hard to prepare for Dillon because we don’t have anyone 245 on the scout team. Fitting the run game. Have to get off blocks.
  • Whoever is on the field at RB is who we have to play.
  • Love how competitive WR Emeka Emezie is right now. Contact catches have been impressive. Gotten hit. Fought for balls.
  • Not surprised by how well Emezie is doing. With his skill set, and seeing him buy into Kelvin Harmon and Steph Louis’ work ethic, knew the end result would be good.
  • TE Cary Angeline’s ball catching skills are similar to David Grinnage. Ability to track and catch the call was great on his 1st catch. Versatile. Played wideout in high school. Played a lot of places on the field, and isn’t uncomfortable in any of them.
  • BC has struggled in special teams except their returner. Helped us last year blocking a punt up there. We’ve kicked he ball well the past two weeks, but we have to cover and tackle better, and that’s a challenge with their returner Walker.
