The Wolfpack enter the game as one of the few remaining undefeated teams in college football. They are currently sitting at 4-0 with wins over JMU, Georgia State, Marshall, and Virginia. They come into this game ranked 23rd in the AP poll and 25th in the coaches poll.

NC State vs. Boston College: The Series
This is their 16th overall matchup. Boston College holds the edge in the series, with a 9-6 record against NC State historically.

The first contest between the Wolfpack and the Golden Eagles dates back to November 7th, 1936, when NC State went up to Boston and left with a 12-7 victory.

The two played one another the next year in 1937 in Boston again (BC won 3-7), but then didn’t clash on the field again until 2005 when Boston College joined the ACC. Obviously the two have battled it out annually ever since as members of the Atlantic Division, with NC State holding a losing record of 5-8 against them since they joined the ACC.
