#23 NC State Men’s Soccer Beats #1 UNC!

The #23 NC State Men’s Soccer Team pulled off an upset tonight at home against their arch rival UNC, and the Tar Heels just so happen to be the #1 team in the land.  The Wolfpack did it in front of a sellout crowd of 3,229, setting a new attendance record.

This marks the first time that NC State has defeated UNC at home since 1997!

UNC outshot NC State 18 to 2, and took 5 shots on goal, compared to the Wolfpack’s 1. NC State only had 1 shot on goal all night, but in the end, that’s all they needed. Sophomore David Loera put the ball into the net in the 53rd minute.
