ESPN Denies NC State vs. Clemson of College Gameday

ESPN has announced where College Gameday is going to be next Saturday, and the NC State vs. Clemson game down at Death Valley at 3:30pm was denied. Instead, they went with Oregon vs. Washington State.

The updated polls aren’t out yet, but in last weeks AP Poll, Oregon was ranked 17th, and Washington State was unranked. Yesterday Oregon upset #7 Washington, and Washington State was on a bye.

#15 Wisconsin, #16 Miami and #19 Colorado all lost yesterday, so I expect NC State to move up from #20. #2 Georgia lost, so I expect Clemson to move up from #4.

NC State vs. Clemson will be a matchup of two of the eight remaining undefeated teams in college football, and it could be a Top-15 showdown.

How College Gameday goes to Washington State is beyond me. I could have even seen it going down to Baton Rouge. #13 LSU, who beat #2 Georgia yesterday, is hosting #23 Mississippi State.

Either way, NC State has a huge opportunity to go down to Death Valley and make a statement on national television.
