5 reasons you better be at ‘Primetime with the Pack’ tonight

Just a reminder, since most of you are focused on Saturday’s matchup with Clemson, you’ may have forgotten that the basketball season opens up tonight with ‘Primetime with the Pack’ at Reynolds Coliseum tonight at 8pm. (Doors open at 7).

Here are 5 good reasons you need to get out there and support the Pack at this event.

– All proceeds are going towards Hurricane Florence disaster relief.
This is your chance to donate some money to the massive disaster relief that’s going on near our coast. While I’m sure the victims appreciate your prayers and your facebook posts, I think donating $10 while also getting to see your favorite basketball team play is a win/win.

– Get back into Reynolds Coliseum
If you haven’t been back to Reynolds since the renovation then you’re missing out. The place looks amazing and has an awesome museum built right into it. If you’re a long time NC State fan who grew up watching the Pack play in the old barn, then do yourself a favor and take a trip down memory lane tonight.

– Get to know an (almost) entirely new team
Unless you are a truly hardcore NC State basketball fan, then you probably don’t know this entire roster of players. Aside from Markell Johnson, Braxton Beverly, and Torin Dorn, this is an entirely new roster filled with transfers, grad-transfers and freshmen. But don’t’ get it twisted folks, this team is going to be good.

– There is a dunk contest
Last season there wasn’t a dunk contest OR a scrimmage. This year there may not be a scrimmage, but there is a dunk contest. Who will be in it? Will Ian Steere break the backboard? Who is the best dunker on this team? We’ll find out tonight.

– Tickets are still available
That’s right. There are still some tickets to be had in almost every section, but don’t wait too long as soon as this gets posted I’m guessing most of the mid-court section seats will be long gone.
