RALEIGH –– Former NC State football standout Bradley Chubb will return to Carter-FInley Stadium on Thursday, November 8 to see his No. 9 jersey hung from the upper deck. Chubb will be officially honored during in game ceremonies at the Wolfpack’s game versus Wake Forest.

The No. 5 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, Chubb has started the first seven games of his career as a Denver Bronco, recording 15 tackles, including 6.5 sacks.

At NC State, he set program career records for tackles for loss and sacks. The defensive end from Marietta, Ga., led the FBS with 26 tackles for loss in 2017 and won the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, distinguishing him as the nation’s top defensive player. He was named the 2017 ACC Defensive Player of the Year, was a consensus All-American and won the Ted Hendricks Award for the best defensive end in college football.

In his last two seasons at NC State, Chubb wore the No. 9 jersey, which had also been worn by Mario Williams, the No. 1 pick in the 2006 NFL Draft. In the future, any standout player designated by head coach Dave Doeren to wear that number will wear a patch honoring both Williams and Chubb.
