Ryan Finley Joins the 9,000 Yard Club at NC State

Quarterback Ryan Finley continues to make his case as one of the best to play the position at NC State.

On Saturday, Finley crossed the 9,000 career passing yards threshold in the Wolfpack’s 47-28 victory over Florida State, becoming only the third player in school history to do so.

1) Philip Rivers – 13,484
2) Jamie Barnette – 9,461
3) Ryan Finley – 9,067

In the next two games, Finley will most likely pass Jamie Barnette, moving into 2nd place in school history. Barnette played 4 years at NC State, compared to Finley’s 3.

If Finley keeps up his current 2018 pace, he will finish his career with 10,623, and only one player is currently in the 10,000 yard club: Philip Rivers.

Again, Finley has only played 3 seasons at NC State, while the legendary Philip Rivers played 4. If Finley were to have played 4 seasons at NC State, he would more than likely have finished his career with more passing yards than Rivers, claiming to #1 spot.

You have 5 more games to watch one of the best quarterbacks in NC State history. Don’t take it for granted. Enjoy it.

Finley is definitely special and really…the prime reason we have a ranked team this year, MVP for sure. Is it possible to put together some numbers and comparisons for our great receiver Harmon?
