Bradley Chubb Keeps Up Historic Pace With Sack in 4th Straight Game
People were beginning to give Denver grief for taking former NC State All-American Defensive End Bradley Chubb with the 5th overall pick in the this summer’s draft after the 1st 5 games.
Chubb has made them eat their words and swallow their doubts the past four weeks, collecting 6.5 sacks over that span.
He has 8 sacks on the season, which is the tied for the 4th most in NFL history by a rookie through 9 games. It marks the most sacks by a rookie through 9 games since his buddy Von Miller had 8 as well in 2011. (Link)
Per @pfref, Bradley Chubb is just the sixth rookie with 8 or more sacks in his team’s first 9 games of his rookie season — and the first since Von Miller in 2011.
The others:
Julius Peppers, CAR, 2002
Hugh Douglas, NYJ, 1995
Santana Dotson, TB, 1992
Mike Croel, DEN, 1991— Andrew Mason (@MaseDenver) November 4, 2018
